Why it matters: the certificate is your proof for tenants, buyers and insurers. How to check: ask if a written certificate is included. Us: issued after every compliance visit.

Published pricing
Why it matters: "request a quote" often hides upsells. How to check: look for prices on their website. Us: $125/$165 per alarm, $129/year program, $130/hr electrical, all public.

No surprise re-inspection fees
Why it matters: a fee to confirm their own fix quietly inflates a "cheap" quote. How to check: ask if a return visit to verify a repair is billed separately. Us: no separate fee to confirm a fix we make on the same visit, and Annual Compliance Program members have inspections covered by their membership.
